 Alignment and mobility

positioning:

         there are different position which are used during different procedure .e.g physical assessment .the nurse used verity of methods to make the patient comfortable .providing position used for comfort are important aspects for nursing practice .

 different positions are used for physical examination to access body parts and the patient stay in comfort .

definition :

it is  the placement of a patient in a particular required posture and alignment to make him /her comfortable .

purposes:

• provide
• comfort and relaxation .
• restore body function .
• changing of position improves gastrointestinal function .
• improves respiratory function and allows for grater lung expansion 
• relieve pressure on the diaphragm .
• prevent deformities related to musculoskeletal system .
• stimulate blood circulation 
• prevent bed sore
